Convergence - Also at the Barns in 2020

presented by the Good Women Dance Collective

La Cité Francophone

Although the future of performing art remains a mystery, one thing is certain: dance will still find its way to you, as Edmonton’s Good Women Dance Collective returns to the stage this December with CONVERGENCE 2020!

December 3 - 5, 2020 at 8 pm (MT)
La Cité Francophone (8627-91 Street)
and online broadcast

The collective’s annual show, which kicks off the 2020/21 season, highlights two works from different performers, both local and national. This year, Sasha Kleinplatz, Montréal-based contemporary dancer and co-founder of Wants&Needs Danse, will be joining Good Women with a newly commissioned piece.

Together, Sasha and the Good Women will delve into what and why they love and have loved dance. They will investigate their personal dance histories in relationship to questions of memory, consent, and joy. CONVERGENCE 2020 will also feature a performance by Saddle Lake Cree Nation fancy dancer Dustin Stamp.

In addition to hosting an intimate in-person performance, which will adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols as per AHS guidelines, Good Women Dance Collective will be broadcasting the event online.
